Completed Projects

In addition to the hotel development and re-positioning projects that Morningbridge has undertaken in order to create a boutique hotel group in Portugal, Morningbridge has also developed and then sold three luxury rehabilitation projects in Lisbon, which are briefly detailed below:

Chiado, Lisbon

Rua de Emenda, in the heart of Chiado, is only 150m from Lisbon’s bustling Praça Luís de Camões, yet is located on a quiet high-end residential side street.

Morningbridge took on, in 2017, the redevelopment of a derelict residential building and converted it into seven ultra-high end apartments, all of which were sold prior to or at completion of the building in 2019.

Chiado, Lisbon

Morningbridge purchased in 2017, and then redeveloped, a derelict 17th century palace building which was converted into eight bespoke luxury apartments all for onward sale to private individuals.

Sta. Catarina, Lisbon

Morningbridge purchased in 2015 a historic 17th century palace with walled garden, just behind the busy streetscape of São Paulo in Santa Catarina/Bica. The original intention was to create a luxury boutique hotel with a “secret garden” landscape to celebrate one of the most notorious palace owners, a green-fingered and lively Baroness from yesteryear. However, in the course of the development and planning process, which was protracted due to archaeological remains found at the site, Morningbridge received an offer it decided to accept to sell the project in 2019.
