The Vintage Hotel was originally purchased in 2017, as a poorly performing hotel, from one of Portugal’s “bad bank” companies controlled by the Portugal government.
After a significant refurbishment and re-positioning of the existing hotel, Morningbridge achieved its mission to establish the Vintage as a retro-chic, unique addition to Lisbon’s luxury hotel market. Thanks to an excellent existing building, plus necessary improvements made to the hotel’s infrastructure, complemented by a design and re-positioning overhaul, Morningbridge succeeded quickly in transforming the hotel into the boutique gem it is today.
The Vintage, located between Lisbon’s high end Principe Real and its main shopping boulevard Avenida da Liberdade, comprises 53 amply sized luxury rooms, a rooftop bar overlooking the Botanical Gardens, Liberdade and the Castelo de Sao Jorge, a luxury spa with underground swimming pool, underground parking and a street-entrance restaurant.
The Vintage has since 2017 been managed successfully by the Bomporto Hotel Group and is currently owned by the Vintage Private Equity Fund.
